Riding In Seat #3 On A Flight To NYC

Living the life in the concrete jungle

5 notes

RIP to the NYU Timekeeper. When I look back on my college career years from now, this man will be one of the highlights. Standing on Washington Square East, yelling out the exact time so that students would arrive to class on time. “FIVE MINUTES!!!! FIVE MINUTES TO CLASS!” And directing traffic to make sure that crazy NYC drivers would yield to the students crossing the street. In all weather. Day and night. For no pay. Just because he loved us NYU students.
But of course my most vivid memories of John stem from spending nearly every Sunday during football season with him at the local Steelers bar, Reservoir. He LOVED the Steelers, just as I do. I will cherish those memories! I hope you’re waving a Terrible Towel up there for us! Go Steelers!
